Septic Design
No public sewer access? DMK can help! If your home is not near wastewater utilities, you will need to design, construct and maintain a domestic septic system. DMK helps our clients through the design and permitting portion of this process. There are several different types of systems our staff is able to design including Conventional, Chamber, Drip Distribution, Aerobic Treatment, Mound, and Cluster or Community System. Proper design, construction and maintenance of systems are important to help protect Florida’s ground water, which provides 90% of the state's drinking water, and our surrounding water bodies that draw millions of tourists every year. Florida State requires Onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS) commonly referred to as septic systems or connection to local sewer connections. According to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), OSTDS are currently used for wastewater disposal by approximately 30% of Florida’s population.
