Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager

Established Engineering and Land Surveying consulting firm with offices in Venice and Englewood, Florida seeks a qualified, licensed Civil/Structural engineer to assist with the preparation of studies, reports, designs and plans required in the. The job description and title will be appropriate for a Professional Consultant, Level 3 or 4 requiring graduation from an ABET accredited engineering school and at least 5 years of licensure as a professional engineer in states having reciprocity with Florida. Must be capable of attaining Florida licensure within 4 months of hire. This is a Project Engineer position.

The successful applicant will report to work in Venice, FL 34292 and work at the direction of an assigned supervisor under the V.P. of Engineering. Work times may vary depending upon duties. normal work hours are M-F, 8a – 5p.

The successful applicant will be able to: provide multiple examples of recent design projects and skills; maintain proficient knowledge of civil and / or structural engineering analysis, design and permitting; have documented computer modeling skills in programs similar to AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, Risa 2D, and MODRET and demonstrate experienced in preparation of plans and specifications to the most current codes including the Florida Building Code.

Compensation will vary based upon education, background and experience. Benefits will include holiday pay, paid health insurance, liberal PTO and eligibility for 401k participation after an initial introductory period.
